A 60/40 balance Simply 60% Superfoods, Ancient Whole grains, and 40% natural starches “Real food. That’s it.”

This all-purpose flour blend is not only gluten-free but naturally allergen-free. S.M.A.R.T. Blend isn’t another gluten-free gimmick. Developed by a Canadian holistic nutritionist and a stubborn Dutch father, who believes food should nourish, not just fill with empty calories.  It was built out of necessity—to feed a daughter real food instead of nutritionally

Every 30 g (¼ cup) serving provides:

  • More than 15 naturally occurring essential nutrients, vitamins and minerals from real food. NO enriching needed.
  • A natural source of vitamin B6, thiamin, niacin, pantothenate, manganese, and magnesium (over 5 % DV each)

Because it’s higher in nutrients and fibre, it’s slightly denser—bake with your intuition and traditional baking tips like sifting the flour or separating egg whites and whipping to add air or add some acid by creating your own buttermilk with lemon juice or apple cider vinegar and your dairy

  • Since 2012 S.M.A.R.T. Blend has been sourced, milled, blended and bagged in a facility BRC Allergen-Free Certified facility.

The Story Behind the Flour

Peetz wasn’t built in a lab—it was born on a kitchen table.
Our founder, Peter de Hoog, learned to bake from his Ukrainian grandmother, who didn’t need mixers, measuring cups, or nutrition buzzwords. She used her hands, her instincts, and whatever grew from the ground. No Wi-Fi, no additives—just love, flour, and common sense.

Years later, Peter faced his own health crash. Food intolerances, inflammation, and an extra hundred pounds of “modern diet success.” So, he did what any stubborn Dutch dad would do—he fixed it himself.
He ditched the gluten, ditched the dairy, and realized every “gluten-free” flour on the shelf had the nutrition of a packing peanut and the charm of drywall dust.

So, in 2012, he created S.M.A.R.T. Blend—a flour made with wisdom, not chemistry.
